Dato' Low Koon Poh ("Dato' Low") is currently Executive Director of the Company responsible for overseeing the healthcare and wellness sector of the Company. He was appointed to the Board on 1 June 2019.

Dato’ Low has been involved in corporate advisory and restructuring since early 2020. Over the years. He has participated in many exercise over different industries with the main focus on value creation.

Dato’ Low is a Chartered Accountant registered with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants, Fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (UK) and a member of the ASEAN Chartered Professional Accountants.

Harry Ng was appointed to the Board on 26th July 2011.

Harry Ng is the Lead Independent Director, the Chairman of the Audit Committee, the Risk Committee and a member of the Nominating Committee and the Remuneration Committee. Harry Ng is currently the Executive Director of HLM (international) Corporate Services Pte. Ltd., which provides corporate services and business consulting. He has more than 30 years of experience in accountancy, audit and finance.

He is also the Independent Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee of a number of listed companies on the SGX-ST.

Harry Ng is a Fellow member of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants and a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (UK). He obtained a Master of Business Administration (General Business Administration) the University od Hull, UK.

NG WENG SUI, HARRY

Lead Independent Director

Kesavan Nair was appointed to the Board as an Independent Director on 29th September 2011.

Kesavan is the Chairman of the Nominating Committee and the Remuneration Committee and a member of the Audit Committee and the Risk Committee.

Kesavan Nair is a practising Advocate & Solicitor with Bayfront Law LLC. He is also Independent Director of Kitchen Culture Holdings Ltd., Arion Entertainment Singapore Limited, HG Metal Manufacturing Ltd., and Artivision Technologies Limited. He is a member of the Law Society of Singapore, the Singapore Academy of Law, the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple, the Singapore Institution of Arbitration, the Criminal Legal Ais Scheme and the Association of Criminal Lawyers in Singapore. He graduated the University College Wales, Aberystwyth with a Bachelor of laws (Honours) in 1998.

Kesavan Nair

Independent Director

Carmen Ng was appointed to the Board as Independent Director on 10th July 2019. She is currently a member of the Remuneration Committee.

Carmen Ng currently sits on the Board of several companies listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Carmen Ng had worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers Hong Kong for over 10 years in the Financial Service Assurance Department. Since leaving PricewaterhouseCoopers, she has been a certified Public Accountant (Practising). Carmen Ng has over 20 years of professional experiences in the provision of business assurance and consulting services to a wide range of international, local and mainland China clients.

Her assurance and advisory experience focus on treasury operation, financial instruments, internal controls, regulatory compliance and risk management for banking and capital market clients.

Carmen Ng holds a Bachelor’s Degree of Business Administration the Chinese University of Hong Kong; and a Master Degree in Business Administration and a Master of Laws in Corporate and Financial Laws the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and the University of Hong Kong, respectively. She is currently a Fellow Member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

NG YAU KUEN, CARMEN

Tan Sri Ahmad was appointed to the Board as Independent Director on 1st January 2020. He is currently a member of the Audit and Nominating Committee.

He has extensive experience in finance and banking, having worked in various capacities with Pernas Securities Sdn Bhd, Permodalan Nasional Berhad, and Malayan Banking Berhad. He served as Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Malayan Banking Berhad 1991 to 1994. Tan Sri Ahmad was the Governor of Bank Negara Malaysia for four years May 1994 to August 1998.

Tan Sri Ahmad serves as Independent Non-Executive Chairman on the Boards of Alliance Bank Malaysia Berhad and Sunway REIT Management Sdn Bhd (Manager of Sunway Real Estate Investment Trust listed on Bursa Malaysia). He also serves as a Director on the Board of United Malacca Berhad (listed on Bursa Malaysia).

Tan Sri Ahmad is a Summa Cum Laude graduate in Economics and Business the Aberystwyth University, United Kingdom. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, and a Member of the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Meet The Team

Edward Chen

Chief Financial Officer

Edward Chen joined the Group as Chief Financial Officer on 1st September 2014.

He is responsible for the formation and execution of the Group’s financial strategies and planning, treasury and foreign exchange management, tax planning, risk management and internal controls. He is also responsible for the Group’s financial reporting.

Prior to joining the Group, he served as the Head of Finance and Internal audit with a Malaysian upstream oil and gas company in the exploration and Production sector and the provision of FPSO/FSO solutions. Prior to that, he was the Vice President, Finance & Investment for a Singapore environmental engineering company offering niche environmental waste management technologies, engineering and management solutions. His career background includes the position of management consultant with a global accounting firm and director with a North American investment bank.

Edward Chen holds two degrees in Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in Finance from the University of New South Wales, Australia. He is a Fellow of CPA Australia (FCPA) and a Chartered Accountant of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants.

Loo Sow Kuen

General Manager

Ms. Loo oversees the general operation of the healthcare division. She has over 30 years of experience in building and leading operation teams in healthcare companies. She spent a decade with a company that focuses on chiropractic care and physiotherapy, and also some time in establishing a medical centre specializing in orthopaedics and aesthetics.

Ms. Loo has gained a Diploma in Intensive Business Training Advanced Course and also holds an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA).

Dr. Michael Moon Awh, D.C.

Chiropractic Doctor

Dr. Michael Moon Awh, D.C. who is a Korean-American was brought up and educated in the United States. Dr. Michael Moon Awh, D.C. has graduated Life Chiropractic University in Chiropractic Medicine with honors. He is one of the few American chiropractic doctors in Malaysia. He has a track record of successful clinical operations in the US and currently owns and operates a renowned 16-year chiropractic clinic in the Klang region.

Dr. Michael has extensive experience in the treatment of neurologic disorders.

Ms. Ou Cui Liu

Traditional Chinese Medicine Physician

Ms. Ou is the third generation of medical practitioners in her family since 1930. Following in her family's footsteps, she is now a senior TCM physician fully enrolled in the TCM Practitioners' Council, as well as a lecturer at the TCM Singapore College.

Before settling in Singapore, Ms. Ou worked as a TCM doctor at Rongqi Hospital (Guangdong, China). She earned an Bachelor’s degree in TCM Guangzhou University and a Ph.D. in TCM Nanjing University in 2009.

Ms. Ou is dedicated to exploring better treatment approaches to help her patients, as she strongly believes there is a broad potential for TCM that remains untapped.
